Compare and save
You can use MSN Money’s calculators to compare charges between different bank accounts and credit cards, or find out which bank accounts, savings accounts and credit cards suit you best.

The calculators are straightforward and there are lots of guides to help as well.

Shop-around for great deals
MSN Money lets you ‘shop-around’ for great deals on products like home loans and insurance. We work with carefully selected partners who actually compare different providers to get you a good price and the most suitable product.

There are also lots of guides to help you get a better understanding of what products best suit your needs.

Improve your financial health
Financial services in South Africa are expensive and complicated, so MSN Money is not only here to save you money, we’ll also help you make your money work for you.

Use our financial health check or budget planner to find out where your money is going, how you can save cash, and also plan to get your finances in better shape.

MSN Money also offers you a range of specially created guides on different products, as well as explaining your rights as a consumer.

And MSN Money is completely free!
We will never charge people to use MSN Money and we will never force you to register to be able to use our calculators and online guides. If you do register you will get extra information such as regular newsletters and product information.

MSN Money makes money from charging providers when you click on their ‘apply’ buttons, or from commission if you decide to use one of our partners. But rest-assured we will never let this sway our independence or unbiased approach – we’re here to help you.

Our money box logo
MSN Money uses a ‘piggy bank’ money box as our logo because it is widely recognised as a symbol for saving money.

The term piggy bank comes from the word ‘pygg’, the old-English name for a type of orange coloured clay the first money boxes were made from. Over the years the word pygg was changed to pig and people started making the familiar ‘piggy’ shaped money boxes we know today.
